Online customs declarations on the way in

Online customs declarations will soon be implemented across Vietnam, after a two-year trial run in Hanoi, HCM City, Hai Phong, Dong Nai and Binh Duong, showed a 30–50% reduction in customs clearance time.
Customs has called on the government to make online declarations compulsory.
Most businesses still opt for the paper format, with technical problems, slow internet connection, unsecured web access, and lack of a legal framework cited as the main reasons for avoiding online customs declarations.
