Penny shares remain attractive
Nearly 150 share codes listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange are being traded at below face value (10,000 dong/share), but suddenly they, today June 14, saw ceiling increases. Penny shares are becoming much in demand.
Downward trend of HNX-listed stocks ended up and started to go up.
Meanwhile, in the Hochiminh Stock Exchange during the first transaction sessions of this week, petrol stocks such as PVT, PXI, PXL, PXM, PXT surged strongly in prices with high demand. Particularly, 800,000 PVT coded shares were changed hands on June 14.
At the closing time, SBA recorded a trade of around one million shares in the HOSE, priced at 6,600 dong/share. The share was brighter after the firm had called its shareholders not to sell shares at below face value.
900,000 GTT (Truong Thanh Wooden Product JSC) shares were traded at 6,800 dong per unit, which became one of six top traded stocks on HOSE. On the northern bourse, others such as AVS, DCS, IDJ, PFL…saw the trade of over 500,000 shares at below par value.
On June 14, the trade of HOSE reached 57.63 million stocks for the value of 887.3 billion dong while the trading value of HNX was reported at 749.6 billion dong. 11 stocks on HNX surpassed the trade of one million, typically KLS (6.5 million shares changing hands) and VND (4.65 million shares).
Favourite share on HOSE was SSI with 2.46 million shares being traded.
However, the HNX-Index was added 1.77 points to close at 80.87 points and VN Index lost 2.31 pts and ended at 442.69 pts.
Meanwhile, UPCoM-Index closed up 0.09 pts slightly to 33.43 pts with 195,000 shares changing hands for 3.4 billion dong in early morning.
