Personal income tax on artists and athletes’ earnings

The General Department of Taxation has recently announced the draft document on personal income tax applied to professional artists and athletes under the amendment to the personal income tax ordinance.
Accordingly, income of artists and athletes will be deducted a rate of 25% before making income tax calculation as regulated.
As regulated, only artists and athletes with an income of 80 million dong per year are imposed personal income tax.
