Plastics SOEs to equitise

Deputy minister of Industry Bui Xuan Khu has signed decisions to equitise three plastics factories under the Vietnam Plastic Co
The Thang Long Plastics Joint Stock Co, based in Hanoi, is to have a total chartered capital of 3.5 billion dong. The state will maintain 50.69% of the company’s shares, with 37.91% with employees and the balance distributed among outside shareholders.
The HCM City-based site will become the Van Don Plastic Joint Stock Co, with a chartered capital of 4.37 billion dong. Some 50.98% of its shares will be held by the state and 43.99% by its workers.
Tan Phu Plastics, also of HCM City, will have chartered capital of 8.7 billion dong, with roughly the same share distribution as the other joint stock companies.
Deputy industry minister Bui Xuan Khu has also approved a scheme to equitise the Tan Tien Plastics Packaging Co with a chartered capital of 95.5 billion dong.
