Press Release – VietJetAir launches HCM City – Nha Trang route
Vietnam’s leading low-cost carrier, VietJetAir has made one step further in realising its network expansion plan by adding in a new route this time linking Vietnam’s southern economic hub HCM City with Nha Trang, one of the country’s most popular holiday destinations. The holiday atmosphere began once passengers step on board with flight attendants dressed in beach holiday attire and performed sexy Hawaii dance.
The route will be operated on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday with one flight a day. The flight from HCM City to Nha Trang will take off at 8:10pm and arrive at 9:05pm with the return flight taking off at 9:40pm.
Pritam Singh, general director of VietJetAir, said: “Our new route in line with our plan to expand the domestic network in 2012, which will cover most of key destinations in the country. It is expected to meet demand for residents and tourists of the southern Vietnam and surrounding countries looking for quick and convenient access to Nha Trang. We will soon increase the route’s flight frequency and set to connect it with VietJetAir’s coming international flights.”
Launched in late 2011, VietJetAir currently flies Airbus A320 aircraft to Vietnam’s four major tourist hubs: HCM City (HCM City), Da Nang, Nha Trang and Hanoi. It now offers 11 return flights a day across its network, with routes between HCM City – Hanoi, Hanoi – Da Nang, Hanoi – Nha Trang, HCM City – Da Nang and HCM City – Nha Trang. The route connecting HCM City with Hai Phong will be launched in 1 October, 2012.
In late 2012, with the arrival of two further A320 aircraft to increase the fleet to five, VietJetAir will expand its network further, with new routes to more destinations in Vietnam as well as Southeast Asia. Routes currently under consideration include HCM City – Hai Phong, HCM City – Hue and HCM City-Vinh.
