A private company in HCM City started construction on a three-kilometre water pipeline system designed to supply clean water for two districts November 1.
Hoang Lien Joint-venture Co is the investor of the 124 billion-dong water supply system. According to a city authority policy, Hoang Lien is the fourth non-state company in HCM City permitted to produce and sell safe water to the state-run HCM City Water Supply Co.
The facility will pump water from underground sources across the city’s Saigon River with European-standard technology.
The system, with daily pumping capacity reaching 7,000 cubic meters in its first phase of operations and 20,000 cubic meters in its second, is expected to link to the city water supply system in the next two months.
