Province general hospital defrauded 2.3b dong

The management board of Long An province’s general hospital admitted on February 22 that the province’s inspectorate had sent its investigation conclusion on the hospital’s department of internal diseases to the provincial police.
The investigation reports that from 2003 backward, the general hospital had relaxed its management and had its medicinal supply and contribution speculated by some officials at the department of internal diseases with total defrauded 2.3 billion dong.
Reports say that involved officials have confessed their guiltiness and admitted their defrauding. One of them said that he had stolen medicines from the hospital’s stock to sell to market since 1994.
