Q1 crude oil exports at 4.3m/T

Oil and gas companies, including joint ventures, have produced 4.414 million tonnes of crude oil in the first quarter, up by 5.3% against the same period last year, and 732.8 million cubic metres of gas, up by 40%, according to Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam).

PetroVietnam exported 4.286 million tonnes of crude oil, which is 25.2% of its year target and an increase of 3% against the first quarter of 2002. Since the price of crude oil has increased, three-month export earnings has reached US$1.042 billion, 60% higher than in the first three months of last year.
