Realty shares hit ceiling, VN Index exceeds 410 points
Some real estate shares such as QCG, ITA, ITC, KBC, OGC, HAG, NTL, SJS, HQC and IJC reached the ceiling price at the time of closing the trading session.
The VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) today Monday August 29 gained 8.96 points or 2.22 percent to 413.37 points.
The market saw 212 of 300 listed shares gained points with nearly 90 reaching the ceiling price.
The total trading volume reached 40.7 million shares worth 615 billion dong, rising 30 percent from the previous trading session, marking the highest level in recent eight sessions.
Key stocks gained points namely MSN (+3 percent), BVH (+4.4 percent) and VIC (+1 percent).
The group of real estate shares continued to lead the market when many of them reached the ceiling price including QCG, ITA, ITC, KBC, OGC, HAG, NTL, SJS, HQC, and IJC.
SSI led the market in terms of trading volume with over two million shares being traded. At the closing time, SSI reached the ceiling price to 19,100 dong per share. SSI today closed the shareholders book to pay 10 percent cash dividend.
Following SSI was SAM and REE with trading volume of over 1.8 million units. At the closing time, these two shares also reached the ceiling price.
Two bank shares namely EIB and STB reached negotiation transaction volume of over two million units. Particularly, EIB transferred three million shares at the price of 15,300 dong per share totalled at 46 billion dong. STB transferred two million shares priced at 14,200 dong per share totalled at nearly 27 billion dong.
HNX Index also gained 3 percent to 71.33 points, marking the highest level since July 21. The trading value also surged to over 581 billion dong, rising 68 percent from the previous trading session and marking the highest level since June 21.
The market saw 247 gainers with 110 reaching the ceiling price and 47 losers.
Almost key stocks reached the ceiling price.
SHB reached negotiation transaction volume of over 1.4 million units worth over 10 billion dong. The transferring price was 7,300 dong per share, higher than the closing price at 7,200 dong/share.
