Registration fees increased in Hanoi and HCM City

The Ministry of Finance in April 16, 2003 issued Circular 34/2003 adjusting fees imposed on the registration of road transport means.

The number plate registration fee applicable to a new motorbike worth less than 15 million dong, 15-40 million dong, and over 40 million dong registered in Hanoi and HCM City shall increase from 50,000 dong to 500,000 dong, one million dong, and two million dong respectively.

The fee levels applicable to motorbikes of the above-mentioned prices but registered in provincial and governmental controlled cities, shall respectively be 200,000, 400,000, and 800,000 dong.

Motorbikes that register in the rest areas and three-wheeler motorbikes for the disable shall be subject to the old fee of 50,000.

Automobiles that are not use for business purposes shall be subject to 150,000 dong to two million dong basing on the registration areas. While passenger automobiles, etc, shall be subject to a common fee of 150,000 dong a vehicle.
