Rice exports to Africa double
Vietnam has doubled its rice exports to African markets reaching 800,000 million of tonnes in 2003 according to the Ministry of Trade.
The ministry estimates Vietnam will export four million tonnes of rice in 2003, ranking the second largest rice exporter after Thailand.
