Rubber export price surges

Since early May, the price of Vietnam rubber export to China has risen 500-700 renminbi (US$60-US$84) a tonne compared with the previous months and reached an average 11,500-11,700 (US$1,390-US$1,410) renminbi a tonne, said a source from the trade ministry.
Exports to the US market also hit a high price of US$1,300 a tonne of CV60 rubber. Latex rubber is being exported to Belgium at a price of US$810 a tonne fob.
To date, local exporters have sold about 160,000 tonnes of kinds of rubber overseas earning about US$200 million.
