S99: Holding Company Explains Net Profit Increase by 1208pct YoY to 2.66b dong in Q2/2012.

Song Da 909 JSC. (S99) mother company posted VND2.66 billion net profit in the second quarter of this year, up 1208 percent on year. The firm said in its financial statement sent to HNX’s website on July 24.

The company generated VND40.6 billion assets in Q2/2012, up 32.6 percent on year, the data showed.

Of note, the firm’s financial revenues climbed to VND2.59 billion in Q2/2012 from VND748 million loss a year ago.

The firm had total VND209.6 billion assets by end of June 2012, versus VND223.36 billion at the beginning of the year.

The firm’s EPS was VND89/share in Q2/2012, versus VND22/share a year ago.

In H1/2012, the firm made VND3.95 billion net profit on VND62.71 bilion revenues, compared with VND622.83 million net profit on VND51.15 billion revenues a year ago.

The firm said that its on year net profit rise in Q2/2012 mainly due to increase in revenues. Besides, the firm got high financial revenues in the Q2/2012 as stock prices of its some short-term investments rose compared with Q2/2011.

As of 9:17 am today, S99 was traded up 1.64 percent at VND6.200/share and trailing P/E was 20.31. StoxPlus’s data showed.
