Sacombank to grant 1,050 scholarships
Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) granted 250 scholarships worth 250 million dong to students in economically disadvantaged situations in 2004.
This year, Sacombank continues to grant 1,050 scholarships worth 1.05 billion dong for students in difficult situation with good academic results. These scholarships will be granted for students from 26 provinces including Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Tri, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Binh Phuoc, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Long An, Can Tho, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, An Giang, Bac Lieu, and Dong Thap.
Students at grade 12 have to meet two requirements. They must have the average point score at grade 11 of over 7.0 and are living in difficult situation. For students at university level, the scholarship will be granted for those who won 2004 Sacombank scholarships. For first year students, scholarships will be granted for those studying at economics, finance, banking and medicine university. The scholarships are expected to grant from October 24 to December 3.
