Saigon Shipbuilding launches 4,000 dwt ship

The HCM City-based Saigon Shipbuilding Co on Oct 1 launched the 4,000 dwt Vinashinship 1, the biggest cargo ship the company has ever built.
The ship building cost a total of 60 billion Vietnamese dong, a company representative said.
Also on the same date, the Saigon Shipbuilding Co held a ship-building ceremony to start the construction of a new cargo ship with a loading capacity of 6,500 dwt at a total cost of 112.7 billion dong. The new ship is of Japanese design and will meet the latest International Maritime Charter quality standards.
