SBC reports increase in profit & revenue

Saigon Beer Transportation JSC (SBC) has reported its holding company’s financial statements.

In Q2/2012, SBC reached 303.1 billion dong of revenue, up 6.3 percent year-on-year. Profit after tax sharply rose from a loss of 1.8 billion dong in Q2/2011 to 6.7 billion dong in Q2/2012.

Consolidated profit in Q2 was 18.36 billion dong, over 2 times higher than that in Q2/2011. Financial revenue fell down strongly to 81.55 million dong. Financial cost and managerial cost increased respectively by 9.2 percent and 5.7 percent against Q2/2011. In contrast, its cost of sales decreased by 5 percent on year, reaching 2.52 billion dong.

Accumulative revenue in the first six months was 424.1 billion dong, up 6.6 percent on year. Accumulative profit after tax reached 10.48 billion dong, 2 times higher than that in H1/2011. It resulted from the fact that its increasing value in revenue was much more than than in the cost of goods sold.
