SBV sets rules for bank scholarships
Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Le Duc Thuy signed Decision 1730/QD-NHNN issuing operating regulations on Bank Scholarships Fund to replace Decision 1323/2002/QD-NHNN.
Under the new regulations, the bank scholarship fund is established to offer scholarships and awards to students with excellent study results attending full-time courses at training centres belonging to the SBV that contributes to providing professional banking officials in the near future.
The fund is financially supported from the SBV, state-owned commercial banks and deposit insurance of Vietnam as well as other individuals and organisations.
Bank scholarships have three types:
Firstly, special scholarships worth 500,000 dong a month of the SBV’s governor offering students with great study record.
Secondly, scholarship of banking worth 300,000 dong a month for students with good study result
Thirdly, awards worth utmost two million dong are granted to student winning prises in Olympic contests and local and foreign scientific research.
