SCB becomes Western Union’s agency

Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB) yesterday officially became the agency of Western Union, the world’s largest payment transfer group. The bank has lately signed a deal with Western Union to allow customers to make international payment and money transfer from Vietnam.

The inked deal would help SCB to affirm its position and trademark in the financial markets, especially in remittance services, allowing the bank to provide best money transfer services for the local customers.

Up to the end of Q1, SCB revealed to reach total asset value of 143 trillion dong, total capital and funds of 11.561 trillion dong and total raised capital from economic institutions and householders of over 80.102 trillion dong. The bank’s outstanding loans were posted at 66.266 trillion dong and per-tax profit of 177 billion dong.
