Second generator of A Vuong hydropower plant joins national grid
After five years of construction, A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Co on December 28 officially put into operation the second generator with an estimated capacity of 105 MW of A Vuong hydropower plant in Dong Giang Dist, in the central province of Quang Nam, three months ahead of the scheduled time.
Earlier, on October 11, the first operator with a capacity of 105 MW joined the national grid.
The A Vuong hydropower plant when it is complete will provide average electricity output of 815 million Kwh a year.
The 3.9 trillion dong plant invested by A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Co under the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) started construction on August 31, 2003 including two generators with a total capacity of 210MW.
