September Hanoi industrial output dips

Industrial production value of Hanoi in September reached 3.084 trillion dong decreasing 0.3% over August as the state sector saw a modest increase of 0.3% worth about 1.129 trillion dong and the foreign-invested sector fell 10.2% booking 960 billion dong in value.
Last month local purchasing power and exports shrank which negatively impacted industrial production of local businesses. Production value of some industries saw a sharp fall, for example, the textile industry production value fell 0.5%, office equipment production -26.5%, electronics -7.7%, automobile assembly and manufacturing -8.9%, and other vehicle manufacturing -7%.
However, the gross production value in Hanoi in September increased 17.5% over the same period, in which, the state-owned sector increased 14.7%, the private sector 14.3% and foreign-invested sector 23.7%.
