Son La invests in 57 hydropower projects

Son La province estimated that by 2016 100 percent of compete hydropower projects in the province will contribute to paying state budget by 1.4 trillion dong.

Currently, the province is investing in 57 hydropower plants with a total capacity of 3,800 MW. Of which, three large hydropower plants have capacity of over 3,100 MW and 54 small and medium-sized hydropower plants have capacity of 660 MW.

As estimated, by the end of 2012, the province will have seven small and medium-sized hydropower plants with capacity of over 69 MW to be finished with an electricity output of 500 million KWh.
