Southern bourse rebounds

Total trade on the southern stock market yesterday May 10 reached 7,988,520 shares worth 984.5 billion dong, of which the matching order trade accounted for 4,516,360 shares worth 608.7 billion dong while the agreed trade hit 3,472,160 shares worth 374.7 billion dong. Thanks to this, the VN Index rose by 0.08 points to close at 1020.04 up 0.01% slightly against the previous session.
In addition, total share buy orders during the session was 6,951,500 shares, down 22.62% while total share sell orders reached 9,357,590 shares, up by 16.07% when compared with May 9.
Prices of 17 share codes increased, 78 fell and 14 stood still.
The top five share codes seeing an increase in price included BMC, up 28,000 dong to 605,000 dong per share. This made it the most expensive share code on the HCM City STC, followed by FPT +25,000 dong to 525,000 dong, KDC +8,000 dong to 188,000 dong, TCT +6,000 dong to 141,000 dong and PVD +4,000 dong to 234,000 dong per share.
Meanwhile, the share codes that saw a fall in prices were GMD and HRC down 6,000 dong per share, DHG, SAM and REE down 5,000 dong to 270,000 dong per DHG coded share, 210,000 dong per SAM coded share and 170,000 dong per REE coded share.
VFMVF1 fund certificates were traded at 33,5000 dong each, down 400 dong against the previous session while PRUBF1 changed hands at 13,900 dong each.
Taking the lead in transaction volume on the southern floor yesterday was REE with 466,740 traded shares, VFMVF1 with 400,990 fund certificates, STB with 302,700 shares being traded at 141,000 dong each, PRUBF1 with 272,760 shares and VSH with 263,210 shares changing hands at 70,500 dong per share.
During the session, foreign investors bought 1,675,430 shares worth 242.1 billion dong, taking 39.78% of total market trade and sold 370,340 shares worth 33 billion dong, including 168,300 VFMVF1 fund certificates, 90,900 VNM coded shares, 63,880 VSH coded shares and 20,000 GMD coded shares.
The HASTC Index fell by 3.09 points to 331.07 with a total trade of 926,500 shares worth 121.96 billion dong, a reduction of 30.64% in volume and 32.76% down in transaction value against the previous session.
Total share buy orders on the HASTC reached 1.75 million shares, down 9.8% and total share sell orders dropped to 2.52 million shares.
Yesterday the northern floor witnessed a sharp reduction in the price of blue chips such as SSI down 122,000 dong per share, ACB -88,400 dong and NTP -44,800 dong per share.
After the session, SSI was first in terms of transaction trade with 162,900 shares changing hands, followed by BTS with 101,500 shares, NTP with 90,700 shares, BCC with 84,300 shares and HPC with 83,100 shares being traded.
Prices of 14 share codes rose, three stood still and 56 went down. 13 share codes made no transactions.
The price of PSC rose by 4,800 dong per share, CMC +4,100 dong, LTC +4,600 dong, BMI +11,800 dong and VBH +2,100 dong.
The trade being made by foreign investors yesterday reached 375,300 shares, accounting for 40.5% of total market trade, in which 308,500 shares were purchased and 66,800 sold.
