Special economic zone status for Dung Quat IP

Deputy prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung on a working visit to the central province of Quang Ngai on February 16 and 17 said the government agreed with a proposal by provincial authorities and Dung Quat Industrial Park management unit to convert the IP into a special economic zone to attract more investment.

Dung, however, required that provincial officials carefully study investment encouragement policies of all IPs, EPZs, and high-tech zones nationwide in order to find out and recommend to the government an appropriate model for the intended Dung Quat special economic zone.
