After the trading session April 29, Vietnam’s stock market continued another brisk session with big trading volume on both bourses Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).
After the fist phase, the VN Index bounced 2.24 points or 0.42 percent to 541.44 pts with the total trading volume of over 5.4 million shares worth 188.28 billion dong.
In the following stage, the VN Index continued to gain 2.79 points or 0.52 percent to 541.99 pts with the total trading volume of 62.73 million shares valued at over 2.3 trillion dong.
Ending the last stage, the VN Index gained another 3.17 points or 0.59 percent to end at 542.37 pts, marking the sixth consecutive gain on the southern bourse.
The liquidity increased strongly with total matching order trade of 72.4 million shares worth over 2.7 trillion dong, rising 25 percent in volume and 19 percent in value against the previous session.
According to the statistic, amongst 228 share codes on STC, the market saw 125 shares increasing with 60 reaching the ceiling price, 61 decreasing and 41 standing still at the reference price.
Some losers were KBC, REE, VCB, SSI, STB, PVD, ITA, HPG, HAG, FPT and BVH whereas gainers were PVF, EIB, VIC and SJS.
ITC today took the pole place in terms of trading volume with 2.52 million shares, and followed by CII with 2.25 million, STB 2.07 million and SJS with 2.06 million shares being traded.
Like the southern bourse, the northern bourse also witnessed the third consecutive gain as the HNX Index jumped 3.13 points or 1.77 percent to close at 179.69 pts with the total market trade of nearly 52.3 million shares worth nearly two trillion dong, up 22 percent in volume and 28 percent in value day on day.
Out of 285 listed shares on the northern bourse, the market recorded 203 shares increasing, 64 others decreasing and 18 remaining unchanged including three with no trades.
PVX led the market in terms of trading volume with 4.61 million shares and then KLS 2.56 million, PVL 1.8 million, ACB 1.69 million and others like PVA, SHN, PVC, VMG and VCG with 1-1.5 million shares.
