Stock market keeps falling
Ending the trading session on December 29, the stock market continued falling with wider band. Particularly, the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) dropped 8.12 points or 1.65 percent to 484.45 pts, marking the second consecutive decline after six gains.
The liquidity today slashed with over 41.76 million shares being traded worth nearly 1.672 trillion dong, down 6 percent in volume and 8 percent in value against previous session.
Amongst 196 listed shares and four fund certificate on the southern bourse, the market saw 116 shares decreased with 19 falling to the floor price, 58 others increased with 31 reaching the ceiling price and 25 remaining shares stood still at the comparative price.
Among large cap shares, BVH and CTG gained 600 dong and 200 dong and remaining decreased, notably PVF slipped to the floor price 1,500 dong to 28,700 dong per share.
Many shares reached the ceiling price namely DIG, DXG, SC5, D2D, DIC, ITC, OPC, DCL and DMC.
In terms of trading volume, STB led the market with nearly 2.3 million shares and then EIB 2.22 million, SSI 1.94 million, LCG 1.42 million, ITA 1.39 million, TCM 1.33 million and KBC with 1.19 million shares being transferred.
Similarly, HNX Index today also lost 1.67 points or 1.03 percent to 160.11 pts with the total market trade of over 22.88 million shares valued at 754.522 billion dong, down 15 percent in both volume and value against previous session.
The stock market recorded 83 shares increased, 151 others decreased and 22 shares remained unchanged including 11 with no trade.
KLS reached the biggest trading volume with over four million shares, and followed by VCG with 1.98 million, BVS over one million and others namely PVX, ACB and PVI.
