The Vietnam stock market today February 25 ended a dismal trading week. However, closing the last trading session of the week, the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) regained 5.67 points or 1.23 percent to 466.96 pts and the HNX Index also rallied 1.72 points or 1.8 percent to 97.36 pts.
On the southern bourse, the total trading volume including marching order trade and negotiation transactions reached over 27.83 million shares valued at over 640.07 billion dong, falling 34.22 percent in volume and 33.07 percent in value from the previous trading session.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the total market trade reached over 28.04 million shares worth over 441.74 billion dong, a day on day fall of 19.32 percent in volume and 19.48 percent in value.
Thus, the liquidity fell strongly on both floors due to many investors hoarded goods with an expectation that the upward trend will continue.
At the time of closing the trading session, the southern floor saw 189 gainers and 48 losers and it was 240 gainers and 58 losers on the northern floor.
