After a correction session, the southern stock market yesterday April 5 was still in the downward trend when the VN Index fell 1.92 points slightly to close at 1048.98 down 0.18% against the previous session with a total trade of about 4.72 million shares worth 568.4 billion dong.
During the session, there were 36 share codes up in prices, 45 down and 28 stood still.
The five share codes saw a high rise in prices including HRC up 11,000 dong to 232,000 dong per share, KDC +7,000 dong to 199,000 dong, BMP +6,000 dong to 207,000 dong each, SSC +5,000 dong to 110,000 dong per share and TCT +4,000 dong to 91,000 dong per share.
Meanwhile, five share codes seeing a reduction in prices during the session included CLC down 8,000 dong to 54,500 dong, REE -6,000 dong to 263,00 dong, SJS -5,000 dong to 360,000 dong per share, HAP -4,000 dong to 82,000 dong and SAM -3,000 dong to 198,000 dong per share.
According to statistics of HCM City STC, ranking the lead in term of transaction volume on the bourse yesterday was PPC with 661,900 shares changed hands at 73,000 dong per share, followed by STB with 420,590 shares at 146,000 dong each, VFMVF1 with 307,680 fund certificates at 36,500 dong each, a fall of 1,300 dong against the previous session, REE with 229,220 shares changing hands and PRUBF1 with 224,410 fund certificates traded at 15,200 dong each.
On the northern bourse, the HASTC Index also declined by 7.49 points to close at 393.02 points with a total market trade of over 1.55 million shares worth 151.86 billion dong.
Foreign investors yesterday purchased 240,200 BCC coded shares, 100,000 BTS coded shares, 12,000 HPC coded shares, 100,100 MPC coded shares, 20,000 NTP coded shares and 13,100 VNR coded shares.
After the session closed, prices of 33 share codes up, 42 down and 10 had no movement.
