Sub-licenses re-emerge to hassle businesses

A conference held to discuss the increase in meddlesome sub-licensing by government agencies was held by prime minister Research Committee (PMTC), international organisations of ADB, GTZ and representatives of state-owned enterprises, in Hanoi 18 October The conference was aimed at facilitating business environment in Vietnam
Figures from the Vietnam Chamber of Industry and Commerce (VCCI) show 315 business sub-licenses of all kinds in Vietnam?many of which are vague in purpose?are troubling businesses and increasing red tape and ways for officials to make illicit gains.
