Techcombank targets retail market

This year Techcombank celebrate its twelfth year of establishment and this event coincides with the implementing its development strategy for the period 2005-2010 which is said to focus on developing retail banking services.
After five years of changing the development strategy, Techcombank has implemented a wide range of new services meeting the demands of local customers, Techcombank general director Nguyen Duc Vinh said. This year, Techcombank has offered new services in favour of private household businesses and young customers. In which, F@stAccess is one of the most dynamic cards in Vietnam market. This product was nominated as a Vietnam golden product in 2005.
Banking services are supported by electric banking system such as Homebanking service which is highly appreciated by customers thanks to its convenience.
Presently, Techcombank is developing a wide network of transaction centres in most cities, said a source of Techcombank. It is said that the network is to provide local people in cities with accesses to the banking services like bank card, accounts, and capitalisation.
It is known that in the next years, Techcombank will open a range of ATM/POS and transaction bureaus in many provinces like Lao Cai, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Nha Trang, Can Tho, Binh Duong, Vung Tau, HCM City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, and Hanoi, and industrial complexes and main residence areas.
It is anticipated that the bank will provide new products in favour of individual customers like credit card and international payment service. In addition, Techcombank said it will launch services of property management and investment targeting at high-income individual and household customers.
In the near future, Techcombank hopes it will act as a bridge between customers and local stock market through lending services for equitisation and securities business.
