Techcombank wins two awards from Finance Asia

Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) on August 1 received two international awards from Finance Asia magazine, including “The best monetary management bank” and “the best trade finance bank” in Vietnam in 2012.

This is the second consecutive time Techcombank has received these two awards from the Finance Asia magazine.

In 2012, Finance Asia magazine has decided to award two prizes for Techcombank basing on evaluation criteria for products, the number of existing clients and new clients in 2012, assessment of the customers and the service fee.

Techcombank said that the bank set up a specific business division (Transaction Banking division) to promote activities on cash management, international payments and trade finance with a strong technology platform.

Techcombank has expanded its network to 310 branches and transaction offices, together with 11,000 ATMs in BankNet system, Smartlink, VNBC. Techcombank currently serves more than 2.3 million individual customers and more than 66,000 business customers.

From early 2012 until now, Techcombank has received nine international awards, including two awards for monetary management and trade finance activities namely “the best monetary management domestic bank” and “the best trade finance local bank” in Vietnam in 2012 from the magazine “Asian Banking and Finance”.
