The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPT) has agreed to be a major sponsor for the 13th Vietnam IT Week in Hanoi.
The ministry’s Department of Science and Technology and the Department of IT Industry will supervise the selection of products and solutions for the ICT Gold Cup 2004.
The Department of Science and Technology will preside over workshops entitled “Towards E-Government” and “Legal environment for e-transactions”, with the Telecommunication Department delivering reports.
Forty-six companies have registered to participate in the ICT Gold Cup contest featuring 54 products. Meanwhile, 186 companies registered to attend the event, including 10 from the Vietnam Post and Telecom Corp
The Vietnam Information Processing Association and the VNet Co will host a website named Virtual IT Week 2004. Each firm participating will have a virtual office here at (http://www.VNet.com.vn) to feature their company and products.
Other sponsors for the annual IT event include: VNPT, Intel, CMS, FPT, VASC Software and Media Co, VTC, VDC, CMC, VSDC. Information sponsors are online VietNamNet newspaper, Dau Tu (investment), Kinh Te (economics), and PC World among others
