The trade ministry is compiling the programme of national trade promotion to help Vietnamese firms promote their exports, which will be submitted to the government in the near future.

Head of Vietnam Trade Promotion Department (Vietrade) under trade ministry Ngo Van Thoan said that a programme of trade promotion via exhibitions and fairs is expected to be approved by the following month. Thereby, firms participating in fairs and exhibitions will be paid 50–70% of total cost for overseas fairs and exhibitions.

About 450 billion dong, accounting for 0.25% of Vietnam’s total export turnover (excluding crude oil) will be withdrawn from the state budget for the programme of national trade promotion.
