Trading value on HNX sees highest level since early 2012
On Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) on January 10, 2012, the VN Index ended up for the second consecutive session to 344.68 pts, or 1.58 percent.
The total number of gainers doubled the volume of losers. The trading volume reached over 36 million units worth nearly 500 billion dong.
STB continued to lead the market in terms of trading volume in both matching order method and put-through method. STB ended at 17,400 dong per share, up 3.5 percent with over 2.7 million shares being transferred. For put-through method, STB reached 5.6 million shares worth over 97 billion dong. In the previous trading session, STB reached record high put-through method transaction value of over 2.33 trillion dong.
Together with STB, SSI, JVC and ITA also reached put-through method transaction of over one million units. At the time of closing the trading session, ITA and SSI reached the ceiling price and JVC nearly reached the ceiling price.
Of the group of bank shares, MBB, EIB,CTG and VCB gained 1-3 percent.
Amongst key stocks, BVH reached the ceiling price, MSN gained over 1 percent, VIC kept the reference price, HGC, HAG, FPT, KDC and KBC also gained points by the end of the trading session.
Regarding the northern bourse, the HNX Index ended the chain of five consecutive falls to gain nearly 1.6 percent to 56.15 pts.
The trading volume reached over 28 million shares worth 255 billion dong, rising 60 percent from the previous trading session and marking the highest since early this year.
ACB, FLC, KLS and PVX reached put-through method transactions of over one million units. The trading value under the put-through method reached 31 billion dong (ACB), 26 billion dong (FLC), 12 billion dong (KLS) and 10 billion dong (PVX).
For put-through method, KLS and PVX reached the biggest trading volume with over two million units. The average closing price of KLS reached the ceiling price of 7,700 dong per share and PVX also nearly reached the ceiling price of 6,700 dong each.
Some shares gained the ceiling price as of the middle of the trading session such as AVS, APS, BVS, CTS, SHS, ORS, WSS and VIG.
