After the trading session on January 12, 2012, the VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) ended up for the fourth consecutive session to close at 348.11 pts, or 0.2 percent. However, the upward trend has slowed down by the end of the trading session
The trading volume reached over 24 million units worth 367 billion dong, down over 10 percent from the previous trading session, of which, over 95 billion dong was for put-through method transactions.
Three shares of HPG, BVH and CTG reached the ceiling price by the end of the trading session. Other key stocks such as VIC, HCM and PNJ kept the reference price and MSN increased nearly 3 percent.
The group of bank shares reached the biggest trading volume with over 400,000 units. Of which, STB led the market with one fifth of the total trading volume on the stock market, with over 4.4 million units. STB ended down 200 dong to 17,700 dong per share.
Regarding the northern bourse, the HNX Index lost points for the second consecutive session to end at 55.81 pts. The trading volume reached over 16 million units worth 137 billion dong, down one third from the previous trading session.
Two shares of KLS and VND continued to lesd the market in terms of trading volume with 1.5 million units.
At the time of closing the trading session, VND hit the floor price to 6,100 dong each while KLS lost over 2.5 percent to 7,700 dong per share.
