TV3: Explains Consolidated Net Profit Increase 84pct YoY to5.17b dong in Q2/2012

Power Engineering Consulting JSC. 3 (TV3) reported consolidated net profit of VND5.17 billion in the second quarter of this year, up 84 percent on year. The firm said in its financial statement sent to HNX’s website on August 16.

The firm generated VND52.1 billion revenues in the second quarter this year, up 7.4 percent on year, the data showed.

Of note, the firm’s business management expenses rose 33 percent on year to VND8.52 billion in Q2/2012 from VND6.45 billion in Q2/2011.

The firm’s other revenues were up to VND12.3 million in Q2/2012 from VND5.3 million in Q2/2011 while its other expenses were down to VND976 million in Q2/2012 from VND1.88 billion a year ago.

The company had total VND156.24 billion assets at June 30, 2012, versus VND173 billion at the beginning of the year.

The firm’s EPS was VND1,528/share in Q2/2012, compared with VND832/share in Q2/2011. The figure were VND327/share in H1/2012 and VND1,262/share in H1/2011.

In H1/2012, the firm made VND1.1 billion net profit on VND58.63 billion revenues, compared with VND4.27 billion net profit on VND78.49 billion revenues in H1/2011.

The firm explained its consolidated net profit increase in the Q2/2012 as the firm took-over some projects which completed in the Q1/2012 but had been not taken over that increases the Q2/20112′ s revenues and profit.

Besides, the firm’s other expenses fell in Q2/2012 while it got higher other revenues.

In addition, the firm had to pay little tax in Q2/2012, compared with Q2/2011 as the firm’s Q2/2012′s revenues which suffered tax were partially compensated with Q1/2012′s loss.
