Two floors sees contrary evolutions
Both bourses namely Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) today Thursday February 16 saw contrary movements. While the VN Index ended down slightly, the HNX Index gained points to touch 60.6 points.
Particularly, the VN Index today closed down 0.9 points to 396.51 pts with 34.9 million shares being traded for 658 billion dong.
Of which, VIC continued to reach put-through method transactions of nearly 1.47 million units for 168 billion dong at the price of 115,000 dong each. Thus, after four trading sessions, VIC reached put-through method transaction value of over 760 billion dong.
The VN30 Index slipped 2.5 points, or 0.57 percent to 443.5 points. Amongst 30 blue-chips, there were 13 gainers and six losers.
STB attracted the attention of investors with 6.2 million shares being changed hands. STB today hit the floor price for the fourth consecutive trading session.
Some shares with big trading volume reached the ceiling price such as OGC, KSA, LCM, VHG and VNE. Of which, foreign investors bought 663,000 OGC shares.
Regarding shares hitting the floor price, BGM reached trading volume of nearly one million units.
Considering the northern bourse, the HNX Index gained 0.37 points, or 0.6 percent to 60.6 points.
The trading volume reached 32.3 million units worth 265 billion dong.
Some key stocks gained points such as ACB, BVS, PVX, VCG, VND and KLS.
