Two more bird flu cases in Thai Binh

Two more people have been confirmed as being infected with the bird flu. One of the infected patients is an 81 year old from the northern province of Thai Binh who does not show any symptoms of the disease. The man is also the grandfather of two patients also previously infected with avian flu and are still being treated at the Institute of Tropical Diseases.
Reportedly all three had eaten infected poultry meat.
The second new bird flu case is the wife of an infected patient Nguyen Khac Teo (69 years old) in Quyet Tien commune, Kien Xuong district who had already died from the bird flu.
From the beginning of this year nine people have been infected with the bird flu in Thai Binh province.
