UNI suffers loss of about 3b dong in H1

The northern bourse-listed Vien Lien Joint Stock Co (coded UNI) has incurred loss of about 3 billion dong in the first six months this year, in comparison to profit in the same period last year at about 9 billion dong.

According to the H1 reviewed business reports, in the first six months this year, UNI reported gaining accumulative net profit of 15 billion dong, declining by 42.6 percent year-on-year, while consolidated profit of 2 billion dong, equivalent to 16 percent of the same period last year.

The financial revenue contributed 17 billion dong, up 67 percent year-on-year. However, financial costs rose to 19.6 billion dong, therefore, the company suffered financial loss of 2.5 billion dong.
The after tax profit was posted at negative 2.9 billion dong, in comparison with about 8.9 billion dong in H1 last year.
