URENCO to build electricity generator from effluent processing

Hanoi Urban Environment One Member Limited Co (URENCO) has entered into a pact with Hitachi Zosen Corporation to carry out project: “Electricity generator system from effluent processing in Nam Son waste treatment complex, Soc Son, Hanoi”.

It is expected to put into operation in 2014 with total effluent incinerator capacity of 75 tonnes/day and 1,930 kWh of total capacity from energy saving to electricity generating.

It is slated to cost $29.2 million ($22.5 million from Japan) and wiould be finanbced by Japan-based Nedo’s fund through “Green Financing” programme set by Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE).
