Vacation Scholarships

Vacation scholarships aim to:
# provide students with experience in an area of research
# provide students with an insight into future opportunities in the area of research
# encourage and attract high quality students interested in pursuing a career in research and/or academia.
Recipients partake in research-related activities in the department offering the scholarship, and will be matched to a specific project, which will run over either the winter or summer break. Applications are invited from undergraduates interested in furthering their studies via an honours program, or who are considering a career in research for the primary purpose of furthering their education.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
# be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
# be an international student, and
# be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an Australian Higher Education provider, and
# normally have completed at least the second year of an undergraduate degree, and
# not be an employee of Monash University.
Selection Criteria
Awarded to the highest achieving students based on grade average. Applicants will be matched to projects available, and must also have completed any pre-requisite units required by Monash University for the project.
Value and Number available
The value and number may vary dependent upon the faculty and funding available.
Applications for Winter Projects
Applications for winter projects are now closed.
Applications for Summer Projects
Applications open 1 September and close 26 October 2007. Closing dates may be earlier for some projects. Please check the website after 1 September for further details
