In the first six months of this year, Vietnam-Germany Steel Pipe Joint Stock Co (coded VGS) estimated to gain more than one trillion dong revenue but its profit was estimated at relatively low level due to common difficulties from the construction material market, said VGS’s deputy general director, Nguyen Thi Nhi.

In 2012, VGS will focus on speeding up business and production activities and continue to improve production capacity of its construction steel mill with an expected capacity of 350,000 tonnes per year.

In 2012, VGS targets to bring 1.9 trillion dong in revenue and pre tax profit at 14 billion dong.

Of which, in the first quarter of this year, VGS reached an output of over 50,000 tonnes and estimated revenue of 800 billion dong (according to the company’s fiscal statement in Q1/2012, its revenue was 697.74 billion dong).
