VietinBank opens branch in Laos

Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank of Industry and Trade (VietinBank-CTG) has recently decided to open its branch in Laos whereby the VietinBank’s Laos branch will be located at No 29, KhounBounlom street, Vatchan ward, Chanthabouly district, Vientiane city, Laos.

Previously, VietinBank had opened subsidiary bank in Frankfurt, Germany and is planning to open more branches in other countries in the Europe such as Czech, Poland, UK and France.

In 2011, VietinBank expects to gain total asset of 450 trillion dong, after tax profit of 6.5 trillion dong, rising 75 percent from 2010.

Currently, some other Vietnamese banks have also set up branches in Laos such as Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank-STB), Saigon Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) and Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB).
