Vietnam Airlines to lease two Boeing 777

State-run air carrier, Vietnam Airlines Corp, has promised to lease two Boeing 777 aircraft from US Boeing Corp, said US Commerce Assistant-Secretary Linda Conlin on August 27.

The deal will be arranged by the mediator of International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC), a subsidiary of American International Group (AIG).

Vietnam Airlines last year also signed an agreement to buy four Boeing 777-2000ER worth US$680 million from Boeing.
