Vietnam Construction Production Value Declines 3.1pct in Jan-Jul
Total production value of local construction sector fell to VND90.59 trillion ($4.33 billion), down 3.1 percent on-year in the first seven months of this year, meeting 54 percent of the full year targets the Ministry of Construction said.
Of the figure, the assembling sector production value was VND35.27 trillion, up 2.3 percent on-year and making up 58.8 percent of the whole year target.
Meanwhile, industrial and construction material production value was VND33.75 trillion, falling1.5 percent on-year, and fulfilling 54.2 percent of the whole-year target.
In July, construction production value rose to VND13.77 trillion, rising 14.16 percent on year.
Vietnam’s construction sector’s production values rose 18.7 percent on-year to VND144.701 trillion in 2010, including VND13.361 trillion in December, up 18.7 percent on year.
