After a skyrocket of over 1 million dong/tael in the morning Saturday August 27, the gold price slipped to below 48 million dong/tael.
At 11:00 am on Saturday, the SJC gold price decreased 400,000 dong from the early morning to 47.82 million dong/tael (ask price), by 150,000 dong/tael lower than the gold price in late August 26.
Thus, the gold price in the late two days of this week increased three million dong/tael and increased nearly 600,000 dong/tael from last weekend.
The SBJ gold price also tumbled 500,000 dong/tael for selling price to stand at 47.69 million dong/tael and buying price at 47.11 million dong/tael.
The difference between the buying and selling price was at 320,000-570,000 dong/tael.
Currently, the spot gold price in the world market on Kitco floor stands at $1,829 per ounce, remaining relatively stable from early morning.
As calculated basing on the central bank’s official forex rate today August 27 at 20,628 dong/US dollar, the local gold price is nearly two million dong/tael higher than the global gold price.
