Vietnam Infrastructure buys stake in Pha Lai Thermal for 38.2 mln usd cash

Vietnam Infrastructure Ltd said it has bought a stake in Vietnam-based energy company Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Co (PPC) by acquiring about 10.59 million shares in PPC over a eight-month period for US$38.2 million in cash.

The fund, which invests in Vietnam’s infrastructure sector, said as at March 10, 2008, PPC’s market capitalisation was US$958.3 million.
