Vietnam’s trade deficit in June may hit an estimated $150 million, narrowing from a deficit of $527 million last month, a state-run newspaper reported, citing government statistics.

Exports this month were estimated at $9.75 billion while imports could reach $9.9 billion, the Vietnam Economic Times newspaper said in an online report (vneconomy.vn) posted late on Friday.

Vietnam posted a trade deficit of $527 million in May, the vietnam customs said last week, after recording trade surpluses in the first quarter and in April.

The government’s general Statistical Office is expected to release full trade details later this month.
