Vietnam Prop Desks Net Sell 391b dong in Year-to-June 25

Proprietary desks at securities companies has net sold VND319 billion worth of shares in Vietnam’s stock market in the year to June 25, local online newspaper Dau Tu Chung Khoan (Securities Investment) reported citing VietCapital Securities’ data.

These prop desks bought VND3.056 trillion and sold VND3.448 billion in the period, the net-selling move occurred mostly in the first quarter, especially in March when the stock market rallied strongly.

It is said that many securities companies targeted to scale down prop trading to focus on brokerage, while other cash-rich ones entered the market again.
