Vietnam Retail Sales and Service Revenues Expand 21.6pct in Jan-Apr: GSO
Vietnam’s total retail sales and service revenues are estimated to have accelerated by 21.6 percent on-year to VND762.2 trillion in Jan-April period, the general Statistical Office (GSO) said on its release on April 26.
Excluding price hike factors, the figure rose by 6.1 percent year-on-year, GSO added.
In details, the trade sector rose by 20 percent on-year to VND593.4 trillion and accounted for 77.9 percent of the country’s total retail sales and services revenues; the hotel and restaurant sector posted an on-year increase of 23.4 percent to VND87.7 trillion and accounted for 11.5 percent of the country’s total figure; services sector rose 35.1 percent to VND73.8 trillion and accounted for 11.5 percent of the country’s total; tourism sector recorded a rise of 13.2 percent to VND7.3 trillion and accounted for 0.9 percent of the country’s sum, the data showed.
In April alone, Vietnam’s retail sales and service revenues are estimated to edge up to VND192.43 trillion, rising 1.8 percent on-month and 21.1 percent on-year.
