Vietnam-Thailand bilateral trade forecasted at US$3b

Thanks to many similar characteristics on the market and goods, two-way trade between Vietnam and Thailand will likely reach US$3 billion this year, according to Krit Kraichitti Thai Ambassador to Vietnam.
Traffic conveniences are also the factor boosting economic and tourism relations between the two countries. According to figures released by the general Statistical Office (GSO), the number of Vietnamese visitors to Thailand was estimated at 100,000 visitors while Thai visitors to Vietnam numbered 60,000.
Thailand now ranks top ten among largest foreign investors in Vietnam with total registered capital of US$1.5 billion in the fields of mineral exploitation, processing technologies, banking, finance, hotel and tourism.
